Arborist or Apprentice Arborist

Rutter Urban Forestry (www.rutterurbanforestry.ca) is in its 20th year of operation and enjoys an excellent regional reputation for great service, safety and our love for trees and the urban forest. We have a team of a dozen arborists and apprentices and we operate a small fleet of bucket trucks, chip truck, chippers and support equipment like a mini skid steer and front end loader.

Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are looking to add one dynamic, motivated person to our team that either has experience as an arborist or is eager to gain it through an apprenticeship. The arborist or apprentice will join our crews and work as a team completing typical tree car projects such as:
- Pruning urban trees from a bucket truck or from within the canopy as a climber
- Tree removals. Technical rigging, felling, crane use etc.
- Stump grinding
- Tree and shrub planting
- Shrub and ornamental tree pruning
- Forest thinning and improvements
- All things arboriculture!
